We practice sustainability at the farm. Crop rotation, use of drip irrigation and re-using the flower water each week are some of the ways we are being kind to the earth.

We have two harvest boxes available for this coming 2019 season as of May 19th. If interested please email Lorrie at shadymaplefarmcsa@gmail.com and leave me a note. I will send you information. 18 weeks of fresh produce, herbs, berries and tree fruits when they are in season along with a weekly bouquet of beautiful flowers for $500.
We do have just flower subscriptions available.
A Full Flower Share is 18 weeks of gorgeous bouquets for $230 or a Half Share, every other week for a total of 9 weeks of flowers for $115.

Pre-Frost Fall Harvest Day

We will be offering our first Fall Harvest box on Tuesday, November 18th. As a killing frost is predicted tonight, we are picking all that we can. A beautiful day, albeit chilly.
Anna and her littlest start picking. The fall colors are beautiful.
Picking peppers near the orange marigolds.
Little one picked a marigold and stripped the leaves off the stem, just like her Oma did all summer.
Looking out over the garden. The tomatoes are pretty much done, the zinnias are still trying to bloom. The yellow-green fluffy things are the asparagus.
Blueberries in their lovely fall colors.
The red are the blueberry plants. The right ones are grapes in their lovely fall colors.
Low view of the blueberry and grape plants. Beautiful blue sky, too.
Florencio is putting up the Marionberries onto two wires for next summer.
The figs still have their leaves and bird netting.
This right hand row is Marionberries that haven't been taken down yet and their new wire isn't added to the posts, yet.
Her family's new kitty.
The kiddos and their critters.
The persimmon tree is very pretty this time of year.
A persimmon up close and personal.
Two more in the cool sunshine today.
The tea hedge is blooming. Pretty!
The zinnias with the tea hedge to the far right.
Orange cactus zinnias basking in the sunshine.

Purple violas with Love Lies Bleeding.
Love Lies Bleeding in the foreground, the farm's cold frames with the asparagus in the background.
Swiss Chard in its pretty colors.
Asparagus with a few red berries.
Looking across the garden with the sun shining.
Sweet Cayenne peppers. We picked all the peppers before tonight's predicted frost.
The remaining parts of the carrot rows.
Anaheim peppers.
Jalapeno peppers.
Sweet Cayenne on the left with Sweet Banana peppers on the right. Their colors are so vibrant today.
The last of the blue delphiniums and Rudbeckia daisies in the bed by Grandma Daisy's trailer.
Mt. Hood in the background this afternoon. It wasn't showing this morning.
Dad's blooming pampas grass with Mt. Hood watching over it.
The sunshine color has changed.
Yellow asparagus in the front, Sylvanberries then pampas grass. It is so cool that Mt. Hood is out today!
Pablano peppers. They are so large and crisp and SOLID.
Mom's birdhouses under the elderberries.

Rose hips from the roses at the farm.
The lemon grass has been moved into the greenhouse for protection from the predicted frost.
Gourds, little pumpkins drying and staying warm in the greenhouse.
The dahlias has also been moved into the greenhouse. They will continue to bloom for a while. We lost all our potted dahlias in last winter's long cold stretch. We left them outside, that won't happen again.
Jalapeno peppers in a different part of the garden.
The first one up from her nap. She came out with her mom and coffee. Helping haul in the peppers.
She looks all warm except for her hands. Love all the colors she is wearing.
She is fighting the sunshine and trying to smile for me. :)
Tugging in the picked peppers.
Lisa picking the Sweet Banana peppers and joking! The sun was starting to set and it was getting really chilly.
Colorful Sweet Bananas.
Florencio pushing the cart, Lisa carrying a box of Cubanelle peppers to the warmth of the greenhouse.
The sun behind the blueberry plants.
The pepper patch and an orange marigold with the vibrant blueberry plants in the background.
Blue-leaved broccoli with yellow blooms in the foreground, zinnias with yellow asparagus behind. On the horizon on the right is Mt. Jefferson peeking over the foothills of the Cascades.
Golden Treasure tomatoes among their dead branches.
A few of them with black stems.
If the black stem comes off and the stem connective part is white, it will taste wonderful! We wore gloves today for the cold and also so many squishy things, like slugs and rotting fruit, especially underneath hiding.
The sun is going down and providing a beautiful show.
Lisa is picking a few flowers before they are ruined by the impending frost.
Blue savoy cabbage. These don't mind cool nights.
The large trees silhouetted by the sunset. Getting too dark to pick.
Looking down the raised beds.
More raised beds with cauliflower and kale.
Sun shining through the Swiss Chard.
Blooming dahlias in the greenhouse.
A few of the peppers we picked today. Safely ensconced in the greenhouse.
Lisa picked some of the beautiful fluffy pampas grass.
Peeking through the pampas grass toward the delicata squash, pumpkins and gourds.
A box with a few bell peppers and the Golden Treasure tomatoes.
Florencio by the other peppers we picked.
Acorn squash, delicata squash with rose hips hanging in the background.
The boxes on the far bench are full of Asian pears Florencio picked today.
Five very large pumpkins near the aloe plants.
A few of the flowers Lisa picked for Anna's kitchen. Such pretty colors.
