Week 9 Many colors in flowers and produce

Sunflowers with soft green centers, Sweet William in varying hues, light purple Joe Pye Weed, and blue blooming Cardoon grace the first four buckets.

Dahlias. I love the bright and the pale colors.

More dahlias, some spiky, some single petaled and flat, others like a pom pom. Lovely.

Lilies with their pollen/anthers standing out like little orange dust mops. The edges or margins of these petals are like highlights.

Zinnias.

Gladiolas. A wide variety of colors.

Gold and lime green zinnias with a pink Kiss Me Over the Garden Gate hanging out.

Yellow yarrow and calla lilies.

Blue Glitter Sea Holly in all its blue, sharp spikes.

It's hard for me to pick a favorite zinnia. This pale pink one is in the running.

Bright crocosmia. These add a different texture to our bouquets.

Bright purple and lavender glads.

Daylilies, pastel yarrow and bright purple glads.

Blue flowering cardoon. It is in the same family as artichokes.

Blue scabiosa.

Different sunflowers, including Teddy Bear.

White tipped dahlia petals.

Today's yellow carrots. One lone orange carrot hiding out.

Orange beets Florencio just washed. They are dripping off on the cart.

Beautiful savoy cabbage.

A few red fleshed plums.

Some of the early cantaloupe are what we call "single serving" size. Some of them are full sized in this container.

Light green rinds on the honeydew in the cart full of watermelon.
