Week 5 So much to pick! Thankful for helpers

Beautiful gladiolas love their new location this year.

Pat and Lisa picked the pretty glads. 
Chris is picking tomatoes in the greenhouse.

And then there are the yellow zucchini. Four varieties in this box.

And now its peek a boo time. :)

A tangerine colored dahlia basks in the sun.

Picking and bundling sorrel is a group effort.

Erin harvests tarragon for bundles.

The zinnia garden is beginning to take off with a few starter blooms.

Cane berries ripen at different times on one cluster. Some of these have been picked, some are ready to pick, others need more time to ripen.

Zucchini blossoms. The tall, very upright blossom is a male flower and won't grow a "zucchini fruit". Its stem is just that, a stem not a zucchini. If you were to pick zucchini blossoms to fry, you would pick this type of blossom as it won't ever turn into a zucchini.

Two varieties of Rudbeckia, aka Black Eyed Susans.

Bryan tightening up the chairs before our lunch crowd takes a seat. He fixes all sorts of things. Pretty handy.
Lunch is served under the shade of the huge black walnut tree. Anna always delights us with her lunches. Lisa has been known to add wonderful things, too.

It's been a hard day for Louise. She does love the mud...

Today's box contents (once again, only one bouquet per box). So many pretty bouquets I have to put two in these pics every week.

Almost all the boxes have been picked up, so a break at the kids' picnic table is in order. What fun!
