We practice sustainability at the farm. Crop rotation, use of drip irrigation and re-using the flower water each week are some of the ways we are being kind to the earth.

We have two harvest boxes available for this coming 2019 season as of May 19th. If interested please email Lorrie at shadymaplefarmcsa@gmail.com and leave me a note. I will send you information. 18 weeks of fresh produce, herbs, berries and tree fruits when they are in season along with a weekly bouquet of beautiful flowers for $500.
We do have just flower subscriptions available.
A Full Flower Share is 18 weeks of gorgeous bouquets for $230 or a Half Share, every other week for a total of 9 weeks of flowers for $115.

Week 15 Busy picking day

We love our helpers during the summer's on Tuesdays. Today was the first day of school, so all of our school employees have gone back to their regular work. Not as many pictures to show you as our volunteer workforce isn't with us today.

The morning glory has decided to climb not only up to the rooftop, but now is heading sideways around the chicken coop. So pretty.

This one watermelon has stripes on it from its own stems and leaves shading the rind.

A beautiful ruffly lettuce.

Many different cantaloupe today.

Anna made baked donuts today. Oh boy, delicious.

Many varieties of tomatoes. Some of these are heirloom as well as a separate box of multicolored cherry tomatoes. Each bag of grapes has 2-3 kinds of grapes. These wouldn't fit in the big wooden box today, so are here for pick up on the way out.

The boxes are filled over the top. Can you see why the tomatoes and grapes are outside?

One of today's gorgeous bouquets by Lisa.

Today's list.
Here are the contents of today's box.

And one more of Anna and Andrew photobombing the harvest box set up!

See you next time on the blog.
Lorrie
